Data Structure Visualization with LaTeX and Prefuse
Alongside a fellow student and a professor, I published a paper at the ITiCSE 2007 conference in Dundee, Scotland. The paper detailed visualization techniques for computer science educators.
The first, spearheaded by Dr. Ali Erkan, demonstrated how LaTeX could be used to create slide-based animations of data structure operations.
My section of the paper focused on a tool designed to inspect the state of Java programs at runtime, portrayed as an undirected graph using the Prefuse Visualization Toolkit developed at Berkeley.
